Job Description
The Vended Application Consultant - End User Hardware & Diagnostics requires deep expertise in Nexthink, PowerShell scripting, Graph API, and process automation. Responsibilities include managing and optimizing our desktop environment, ensuring seamless operation, and driving automation initiatives.
Preferably, the candidate will be located within commuting distance of Wheeling, IL, to access the End User Device Lab as needed for testing and change validation (-1 day/week expected).
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain desktop solutions using Nexthink.

• Create remote actions with PowerShell and Bash to retrieve diagnostic data and remediate issues.
  
• Maintain desktop applications for end-user interaction.
  
• Develop investigations using NQL (similar to KQL).
  
  
  
• Identify opportunities for process automation and implement effective solutions.
  
  • 
    
  • Utilize Microsoft Graph API, Nexthink API, Jamf API, etc., to integrate and enhance desktop management solutions.
    
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and process improvement.
    
    
    
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop issues, including hands-on troubleshooting in the End User Device Lab as needed.
    
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues, ensure optimal performance, and improve user satisfaction.
    
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
    
    Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
      
    • Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role.
      
    • Deep expertise in Nexthink, PowerShell scripting, Graph API, and process automation or similar tools.
      
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
      
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
      
      Preferred Qualifications:
      
      • 
        
      • Experience with other scripting languages and automation tools.
        
      • Certifications in relevant technologies.
        
      • Knowledge of Agile processes and best practices, including CICD delivery.

            Skills & Compensation
            Compensation for this role ranges from $76,200 to $134,550 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The candidate(s) will be required to submit to a background investigation.
