Position Summary Machine Operators are responsible for setting up and operating various types of production machinery equipment. Operators will interact with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance mechanics to maximize output and efficiency while maintaining a professionally clean environment. Machine Operators use production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to dust and laundry detergent smells, and loud noise levels. Essential functions Assist in machine setups, changeovers, and cleaning or equipment when necessary. Control production equipment and machinery to manufacture product at a high speed that still meets quality standards. Meeting production deadlines. Train members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed Basic troubleshooting for equipment issues or request maintenance for more complex issues. Operates equipment and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specification Set up machines to start production cycle, control and manually adjust machine settings (e.g, speed) for maximum production and check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Adhere to safety standards at all times while enforcing safe work habits with all team members & maintains housekeeping of work areas including 5S initiatives. Responsibilities: Review the shift schedule and specifications located within the work area. Load and unload raw materials into processing machinery to maintain a smooth flow of production. Periodically check manufactured product for defects and ensure the level of quality. Ensures that all production reporting & data collection is completed in a timely manner. Oversee production line start. Requirements: Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have working Knowledge and/or with machinery equipment Results-oriented and driven work style. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere Must nave great attention to detail. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check in accordance to Illinois Law. Must be authorized to work In the United states legally. Must be 18 years of age or older Physical and sensory Demands Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 80 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand for an average of 80% of scheduled shift.
