management systems.-- Your Impact:Rauland is looking for a talented
and passionate software leader to make an impact in the medical
space. We are seeking an experienced developer and software
architect to be a hands-on leader of our software team and execute
on the transformation of the business software solutions toward an
enterprise-class cloud platform that supports AI and
analytics.Rauland is a leader in the critical clinical
communications market with a majority market share in the acute
hospital healthcare space. Its solutions encompass Nurse Call
capability facilitating high quality of care between patient and
caregivers as well as coordination and collaboration between
caregivers resulting in better patient outcomes. We are looking for
an individual to lead the software engineering team to deliver
significantly increased value in our offerings by establishing
scalable and extensible solutions to the marketplace. The systems
must scale from single to multi facility Enterprise class
hospitals. The platform design must take the business from its
current state and extend into new spaces including additional
capabilities in business intelligence and analytics.The ideal
candidate will be able to leverage their experiences to define the
technology roadmap needed to achieve our vision and integrate it
with a commercially acceptable release roadmap that brings our
large installed base of clients with us in our transformation of
the market space. This individual must define and hire the right
skillsets to execute this strategy. The position reports into the
Division VP of Engineering and requires close collaboration with
all executive leadership, product management, and other functions
within the broader engineering organization.Accountabilities:
- Drive the creation of an integrated product and technology road
map in collaboration with the Product Management team and with
other R&D leaders.
- Design, develop, and implement the integrated roadmap across a
multi-disciplined team of software engineers.
- Build and lead a high performing team with the skills needed to
support the vision of the business.
- Drive a performance and innovation-oriented culture. Fuel
passion within the team for designing and building innovative
products.
- Institutionalize best practices to assure the quality
development of software deliverables to the verification and
validation team and ultimately to the client base.
- In close coordination with the Quality and Regulatory lead for
the business, assure that all software development maintains
compliance to design controls and risk management commensurate with
an FDA Class 2 medical device. Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A Master
of Science is preferred
- Minimum of 15+ years of software development and architecture
experience
- 10+ years experience developing within and leading
Enterprise-class software solution teams
- Experience managing the full product engineering lifecycle
including specification, development, test and validation using
Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong enterprise-class software architectural experience with
a solid understanding of considerations of scale, support, and
implementation
- Working knowledge on defining and creating private and secure
solutions for the healthcare market space
- Proven ability to attract, motivate, and retain strong talented
team members
- Experience delivering in Hybrid Cloud, IaaS and PaaS
environments, including architecture for cloud and migration of
legacy applications to the cloud
- Good knowledge of FDA Design Controls and Risk Management
compliant processes and tools
- Knowledge of or experience with micro-services and Actor based
architectures
- Experience with REST API, ASP.NET Core, SignalR, Angular,
Angular, Docker, and Azure all desired
- Experience implementing Agile development methodologies across
