Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Oak Lawn, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,992 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Oak Lawn, Illinois, 60453! Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2-3 years in an acute care setting; 3 years of hybrid experience required for IR Hybrid Tech. License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required for all positions; additional certifications based on role (CST, CVOR, Hybrid IR Tech). Must-Have: Experience in critical care, trauma experience preferred; EPIC experience required for OR RN and CVOR RN positions. Description: This facility operates a Level 1 Trauma Center with a Magnet designation. It provides comprehensive stroke care services. The surgical room handles approximately 60-75 cases per day. Patient types include outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases such as GSWs, stabbings, transplants, and various surgical specialties. The hybrid room accommodates 5-10 cases daily, focusing on adult patients. There is a requirement for participation in specific gift cases. The staffing model includes a charge nurse who does not have patient assignments, supported by resource nurses, educators, and service line representatives. The charting system in use is EPIC, along with specific equipment such as Alaris and Pyxis. Scheduling requires weekend rotation every 4th weekend. Shift times vary, with a focus on both daytime hours and on-call rotations. Holiday coverage is mandatory.
