Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rockford, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Rockford, IL ? Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-Hour Nights) Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Every other weekend & holidays required Guaranteed Hours: 36/week Float Requirement: May float to Step-Down ICU Subspecialties: Neurology ICU Critical Care (CCU) Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) ? Requirements: Active Illinois RN License CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Experience with Neuro, Cardiac, and Ventilator patients Strong ICU background preferred Essential Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process in coordination with interdisciplinary teams Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
