state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License
from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for
the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an approved equivalent required
within 90 days of hire Must-Have: Professional knowledge of nursing
theory and practice acquired through completion of education at an
accredited School of Nursing. BSN or nursing diploma required. Any
non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse
experience will be required to enroll in a BSN or higher nursing
degree program within 15 months of hire. Description: The
Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing,
planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an
identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This
individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a
primarily adult population. The Registered Nurse collects
comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or
situation. The Registered Nurse analyzes assessment data to
determine diagnoses or issues. The Registered Nurse identifies
expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or
situation. The Registered Nurse develops a plan that prescribes
strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes. The
Registered Nurse implements the identified plan. The Registered
Nurse evaluates progress toward the attainment of outcomes. The
Registered Nurse attains knowledge and competence that reflects
current nursing practice. The Registered Nurse participates in
ongoing educational activities related to appropriate knowledge
bases and professional issues. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a
commitment to lifelong learning through self-reflection and
inquiry. The Registered Nurse identifies learning needs based on
nursing knowledge, the various roles the nurse may assume, and the
changing needs of the population. The Registered Nurse participates
in consultations to address issues in nursing practice as an
application of education and knowledge base. The Registered Nurse
shares educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers. The
