Job Description:

The Director, Consumer Insights and Analytics (CI&A) is a senior leadership position, in the Marketing organization, responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic direction of data analysis, insights generation and data driven decision making for Mizkan America.--This role will support our two business units: Meal Solutions & Flavor Enhancers, and oversee a team of 1 Associate Director of Analytics, a Sr. Insights Manager and a Associate Manager of analytics.--As a strategic business partner to our organization, the Director of CI&A will be shaping brand strategies, optimizing connected commerce investments and deepening human centricity. Furthermore, this individual will continue to modernize the function by introducing new tools, resources and fresh thinking to reinvent the way that Mizkan generates evidence for decision making accelerating the speed from data to insight to key actions.--He/ she is responsible for collaborating with key cross functional stakeholders to provide actionable insights that drive business growth, enhance brand equity and improve consumer experiences.-- --ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:--Strategy and Leadership:Define the overall vision and strategy for Insights and Analytics at Mizkan America, aligning with the organization's business goals and objectives.Lead, mentor and managing a high performing team.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and future-focused thinking. Data Analysis and Insights:Develop a holistic data vision and strategy for Mizkan leveraging ALL data - syndicated, traditional research, social media, retailer data, etc.Provide foresight to the organization by providing a clear understanding of macro trends as a result of key cultural shifts in society.Set learning agenda across Mizkan America brands, combining custom research, analytics, retail data & syndicated research.Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify key business questions and data needs, translating them into analytical solutions.Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data and generate insights that support strategic decision making.--Technology and Tools:Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Evaluate and implement analytics tools and platforms and technologies that enhance the organization's analytical capabilities.--Measurement:Establish and track effectiveness and efficiency of marketing activities across media, connected commerce and trade, and recommend optimization of plans based on key learnings to achieve KPIs.Develop, track and implement key KPI dashboards at the service of measuring business performance and identifying key Jobs to be Done.--Communication and Collaboration:Collaborate cross functionally to support data/ insights-led decision making across the organization.Partner with marketing team to uncover insights and turn them into actions that drive world class marketing.Bring insight into action with retail partners through shopper research and joint ideation and business planning.Partner with Innovation to identify white space opportunities and unmet consumer needs.Collaborate with the R&D team in development of new formulas and optimization of existing or productivity projects at the service of improving the bottom-line. --EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:--Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.Minimum 8-10+ years' experience in Marketing, Brand Management and/or Research, with significant experience in consumer analytics, consumer insights, and market research in the CPG industry.CPG experience working across channels: grocery, mass merchants, drug, club, e-commerce, etc.Strategic thinker with a business mindset and the ability to align CI&A strategies with organizational goals.Excellent influencing, collaborating and negotiating skills, with experience leading alignment in a cross-functional organization.Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable implications and recommendations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in analyzing, understanding, and clearly communicating the customer decision journey with traditional methods (e.g., survey analytics).Visionary who can drive change to put Mizkan at the forefront of insights and analytics.Prior supervisory experience required.Able to effectively manage, negotiate with, and deliver results working with external resources.Ability to travel 20%.
