Job Description:
SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Project Manager is to manage the
development and implementation of the Siemens Research Development
& Laboratory, PLM specification system. The manager will be
responsible to manage and control the system operations and improve
the applications and avoid the incurrence of Siemens' external
charge for configuration code improvements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the PLM-Specification system development and
day-to-day project implementation leadership in starting up the
system. Tasks include but not limited to:Project, plan, develop,
maintain, and review weekly with internal steak holders and
vendors.Create monthly report of progress, costs, and risks; work
with functional leads and other resources to ensure assigned tasks
are completed in agreed timeframes.Facilitate project activities
with 3rd party vendors and hold them accountable for
deliverables.Schedule and attend all scheduled project team
meetings.Prepare presentations and cost reports as needed.Lead with
example to work with sub-teams and subject experts in the
specification templates. This includes configuration and
development of information cards under the guidance of the Siemens
development team. Ensure the specifications are properly built,
configurated, and configuration knowledge is transferred and
retained within Mizkan AmericaManage internal resources from
different departments to populate all the specifications contents
following established workflow and complete the project on time
within budget.To prepare to take over as PLM-Specification
Management Manager, ensure the scrips and work instructions are
thoroughly and well documented on how to configurate, query and
operationalize the system.Control specification life cycle process
and user management for all specification types from initiation,
review, approval, issuance, absolution, to keep the system contents
validate and up to date.Continuously improve the system
functionality and performance based on user feedback.Serve as the
Mizkan America PLM specification application internal expert both
configurational and operational and provide expert advice to Mizkan
global specification standardization efforts. EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in science or
engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in the formulated
food product industry with emphasis on Specification
Management.Experience in PLM specification systems and related
business systems such as SAP/AX/D365 system.Siemens' RD&L
specification management system configuration and operation
experience are strongly desired. Demonstrated knowledge of industry
best practices regarding product specification lifecycle
management.Proven skills and track records on project management of
similar type.Proficient with Microsoft Excel, medium level
proficiency in DB/SQL, working knowledge in VB is desired.To be
qualified to migrate to PLM-Specification Management Manager,
developed expert knowledges and skills in Siemens's configuration
and query development, and DB/SQL application must be
developed/acquired before the position migration.Subject knowledge
in one of the Food Product Quality subjects are strongly
desired.Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication,
collaborative teamwork, team facilitation and negotiation
