Position Purpose: Develop the assigned Local (National) accounts by increasing the overall revenue and profitability, volumes and customer satisfaction levels. Office Location: 1743 S.   • Deep understanding of logistics, air- and sea freight forwarding market
  • Min. 7 years experience in the freight forwarding industry and at least 5 years of sales experience and experience in securing and managing key accounts with a proven success record
  • Able to deal with complexity, set customer-oriented goals, acknowledge effort & achievement, deal effectively with conflicts, build & develop virtual teams and constructively interact in teams, ask questions & listen in order to find solutions, inform others appropriately, network, ability to build-up and maintain trustful and long-lasting relationships
  • Entrepreneurial capability: Spots & seizes opportunities, focus on customers, thinks strategically & appreciates long-term development, shows holistic & corporate approach, goes into detail when necessary, negotiate
  • Required language skills (other languages written and spoken is a plus)
  • Good understanding of finance, readiness to learn, digital affinity
  • Persistent, determined and has the resilience to achieve challenging goals which might take time
  • Readiness to travel (min. approx. 25%)
  • Fluent in English, another language would be an advantage

    • Build and implement annual strategy and budget to develop the assigned key accounts by increasing the overall revenue and profitability, volumes, trade lanes and customer satisfaction levels
    • Builds-up and maintains a strong and long-lasting strategic relationship to the customer
    • Developing new business potential by analyzing the customer structure, development and corporate planning within the personal customer portfolio
    • In-depth understanding of the multi-facetted logistics network nationally/globally in all its complexity and in all modes of transport.
    • Strong knowledge for bonded-transportation and cross border traffic between the United States & Mexico, as well as Canada
    • Support and coordination of the assigned key accounts together with the involved internal stakeholders
    • Preparation, processing and coordination of offers and tenders in cooperation with the Tender Team
    • Develops a strategy for our IT-related customer solutions in cooperation with the IT teams
    • Responsibility for recording all market/customer-relevant facts by using the CRM tool and deriving appropriate measures (ie.: communications, pipelines, opportunities, etc---)
    • Involve all the necessary internal stakeholders for further development of the assigned accounts (ie.: Global KAM, Product, Sales, Controlling, Tender Management and Country Management)
    • Hold the QBR's and/or reviews with the assigned accounts
    • Manage the customer contracts and measures to performance in consultation with Compliance
    • Ensure alignment of CRM compliance and sales processes with standards
