Technician Location : Franklin, WI Hire Type : Contract to Hire
Salary : $50K-$53K/YR. Benefits: As a contract employee of

Stock Ownership (ESOP) plan. As a Component Quality Technologist,
you will support quality assurance and inspection activities within
a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on inspecting
fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to ensure
products meet engineering specifications, industry standards, and
customer requirements. You will work closely with production,
engineering, and quality teams to identify defects, document
nonconformances, and support continuous quality improvement
efforts. Job Duties : Inspect fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and
final assemblies, including painted components. Review and
interpret assembly and detail prints, industry standards, routings,
BOMs, specifications, instruction bulletins, and customer notes.
Select and use appropriate inspection equipment, including tape
measures, calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gages, height gages,
torque wrenches, thread plug gages, resistance meters, and
specialty gages. Accurately document abnormal conditions on
checklists, DPU reports, and nonconforming material reports.
Clearly communicate inspection results, defects, and abnormal
conditions verbally and in writing to assembly teams, leadership,
and engineers. Place product on hold when required and collaborate
with engineering to determine disposition and rework requirements.
Perform data entry and reporting using spreadsheets and inspection
documentation systems. Maintain safety awareness and appropriate
housekeeping standards. Support problem-solving and quality
improvement initiatives. Assist departmental team members on short
notice and adapt start times as needed. Qualifications : One to
three years of inspection experience in a manufacturing
environment. Basic understanding of GD&T and metrology
principles. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings for
fabricated parts, assemblies, and specials. Proficiency using basic
dimensional measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages,
pin gages, thread gages, measuring tape). Ability to use resistance
meters. Ability to maintain accurate inspection and quality
records. Willingness to learn internal software systems and quality
management tools. Ability to safely use a pallet jack and ladder.
Standing and walking for most of the shift, including frequent
walking (one to two miles per day). Frequent lifting, carrying,
pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Frequent
bending, crouching, and continuous handling of parts. Occasional
reaching above shoulder level and below knee level. Qualified
