Job Description:

G&W Electric is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer I to join our Quality Assurance & Testing department. This role is critical to maintaining our focus on delivering exceptional electrical solutions for power grid reliability and performance. As a Quality Engineer I, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and consistency of our switchgear, reclosers, and sensors, thereby supporting our mission to facilitate effective energy distribution globally. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Conduct and document internal audits and other quality assurance activities. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues. Collect and compile statistical quality data. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system. Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions. Prepare detailed reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers. Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions. Monitor risk management activities. Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent technical documentation abilities. Proficient in MS Office and various quality control software. In-depth understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) by the ASQ is preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
