in the market. Role summary: The Data Entry Supervisor is
responsible for leading and supporting daily laboratory operations
in the Data Entry department by ensuring that they are sustainably
staffed, and approved processes and systems are in place,
maintained and functional. Organize and execute daily department
operations to ensure that resources are effectively scheduled to
deliver on customer commitments in a way that is compliant with the
quality system, established protocols and procedures and corporate
policies. Directs the Data Entry team, ensuring complete and
accurate entry of all required information presented on client
specific requisitions into the laboratory information management
system. This includes: Ensuring all received samples are accounted
for and entered in LIMS system. Ensuring real-time communication
with CS team to clarify customer requirements. Ensuring practices
are in place to minimize time from Sample Receipt to laboratory
hand-off, including updates to lab on high priority shipments and
unusual requirements. Ensure subcontracted samples are shipped in a
timely manner, coordinating with CS as appropriate. Ensuring client
requested supplies and cooler returns are completed within expected
timeframes. Performs routine and non-routine data entry and related
tasks. Support hazardous shipping for interlab or subcontracted
samples when required. Maintains schedule and ensures the
department is adequately staffed during peak times. Guide
resolution of administrative, technical or interpersonal problems.
Escalates challenges and proposed solutions with manager. Maintain
department metrics and evaluate against targets. Propose ways to
improve performance against metrics. Perform thorough investigation
of quality issues, propose and implement corrective actions and
evaluate effectiveness of corrective or preventative actions.
Ensure that all staff are trained in a way that supports the
quality of work being produced and that all training is documented.
Develop staff by proving meaningful and constructive feedback on an
ongoing basis and in the context of the performance review process.
Ensure that policies with respect to performance reviews are
strictly adhered to. Ensure that hire/fire/discipline practices are
carried out in a fair, clear and compliant way. Ensure the
proactive involvement of management and HR in all appropriate
cases. Required Education and Experience High school degree with 3
years relevant industry experience as minimum. Associate or
bachelor---s degree in a related field is preferred with 2-3 years
of relevant industry experience. Demonstrated ability to work with
a team. Positive outlook with the ability to adapt to a changing
environment. The schedule for this role will be Monday through
